Overview of Ashram

Sri bhairava Swamy Ashram is an annexure of Sri Bhairava Nilayam. The Ashram is located adjacent to Sri Bhairavanilayam temple campus facing North. Foundation stone Laid in the Month of June'2020 by Thavathiru Bhairava Swamigal and started setting up with Siruthondar Hut(சிருத்தொண்டர் திருக்குடில்).

Objective of Bhairava Swamy Ashram

Sri Bhairavaswamy Ashramam is created for spritual purposes and is a Home for SADHUS(சாதுக்கள்) , those who are seeking for renounce/dheeksha(சந்நியாசம்) and want to live in this sacred space to get renounce (துறவறம்) at Sri Bhairava Nilayam with Thavathiru Bhairava Swamigal(ஸ்ரீ பைரவ நிலையத்தில் தவத்திரு பைரவ சாமிகளிடமிருந்து துறவுறம் பெற்ற பின்பு ஆசிரமிதில் தங்கிக்கொள்ளலாம்) after getting renounce/dheeksha (துறவறம்) , Sadhus will get oppertunity to live in the ashram and to do service(தொண்டு) at Ashram premises.
When one dies and is buried in this space with Ashram procedures and rituals.

Life @ Ashram

The ashram is situated in the foothills of 3 sacred mountains (முசாட்டு மலைகள்) under the Umbrella of Sri Bhairava Nilayam Temple. The atmosphere of the ashram is maintaind silent and surrounded with full of nature. The ashram provides a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere. Just stay for about an hour in this sacred space you will be fully energized and you never allow you to leave this most sacred space. You will urge to visit again and again to this vibrant destination.

• Every Evening at 5PM to 6PM spiritual Discourse is conducted by Thavathiru Bhairava Swamigal.
• Monthly Sathsangs are conducted Discourse by Thavathiru Bhairava Swamigal. Sathsang includes Bhajans and Group Chants.
• Ashram residents to follow a prescribed Dress code. Devotees/Visitors are allowed to enter in the Ashram with a traditioal dress code (Dhoti). Females to follow Saree and Chudithar. Western style dresscode is strickly prohibited.
• Free Meals(அன்னதானம்) will be served for All on All Days and All Times.
• Ashram is Volenteer driven organization under guidence of Thavathiru Bhairava Swamigal.

The Ashram Visiting Hours - 6:AM to 6:PM. Beyond specified timings the visitors are not allowed inside the ashram premises.
